The Messy Kitchen: Ambassador Terms

Welcome to The Messy Kitchen. These are the terms for people we accept into the Messyface ambassador programme. You must be 18 or over and based in the UK. Applying does not guarantee a place; we will let you know if you are accepted.

Make it yours

We usually ask for one original piece of Messyface content a month, in your own style. Recipes, reviews, videos and other ideas are all welcome. If you need a break, tell us. You are free to work with other brands, including food brands. You are an independent creator, not a Messyface employee or agent, and you cannot make commitments on our behalf.

Be clear and honest

Put #ad or another clear, prominent ad label where people will see it immediately on every post about Messyface connected to your membership, gifted or discounted products, commission or other benefits. Follow the platform rules too. Share your real experience; do not make unsupported claims about ingredients, nutrition, health or any other product benefits. Please ensure your content is lawful and that you have permission for any people, music, images or other material it includes. We may ask you to correct or remove content that does not meet these standards.

Product, codes and commission

Your welcome offer and any later tier benefits, codes, eligible products and commission rates will be confirmed when you join or move tiers. Messyface products may include food, merchandise and other things we make in future. Offers and availability can vary; a future gift, promotion, collaboration or paid event is not guaranteed.

Commission is earned only on completed, eligible sales tracked through your assigned link or public code. It is calculated on the amount actually paid for eligible products after discounts, excluding VAT, delivery, refunds and cancelled orders. There is no commission on your own orders or orders using a personal, friends-and-family code. That code is for you, your friends and family only: it is limited to five orders per calendar month in total, with up to three jars per order (including jars in bundles). It must not be published or used for resale. There is no commission on resale or fraudulent orders. Payout timing and any further platform rules will be shared with you before use. You are responsible for your own taxes on earnings and benefits.

Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of the content you create for The Messy Kitchen. By posting it for the programme or sending it to us, you give Messyface a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, ongoing licence to use, reproduce, share and adapt that content, and your name and handle with it, to promote Messyface and its current or future products, including merchandise. This covers our website, social channels, emails, recipes, packaging, retail and trade materials, press and other brand communications, including printed or digital Messyface cookbooks that we give away or sell.

Retailers may use it only to promote or sell Messyface products, and production partners only to make materials for us. We will credit you where practical, and by name alongside any recipe of yours we publish in a cookbook. We will not materially misrepresent what you said or did, or imply that you endorse a product you have not tried. We will ask for your separate agreement before anyone uses your content in paid advertising or prints it on merchandise for sale. No further fee or commission is due for the uses covered by this paragraph unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Staying in the kitchen

Please keep unreleased products and private brand information to yourself until we say they are public. We may change tiers, benefits, codes and these terms with immediate effect by notifying you. Changes to commission rates apply to future sales only, and we will honour commission already earned on valid sales.

Either of us can end your membership by telling the other. We may pause codes or end membership immediately for misuse, unlawful conduct or a serious breach. When membership ends, stop using the Messyface ambassador title, codes and brand assets. We will still pay valid commission already earned, and the content permission above continues.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your personal information. If we agree separate paid work, such as an event or a filmed collaboration, we will confirm its terms separately.
